But... it has been obvious as early as December that Sony's finances would likely be in trouble. Isn't it his job as an analyst to figure out these things before he reads them in the media?

Yeah, you'd think.

Maybe he thought things were working out better though due to stuff like the "PS3 making money on each system" reports floating around from place to place.

I mean he does other stuff too right?
