Resistance 2 was hyped, too. Resistance2 had good marketing (it was a great part of the E3 for example and there were TV spots on German TV, don't know about US TV). And Nobody cares what you think. You have been proven wrong too many times.
Not every hyped game sells well. Check Haze. LBP had a great hype but it did not sell as outstanding as Halo did (Nobody with a IQ greater than toast expected this, i know. LBP sells decent, though.) But hype =/= great sales.
But the combination of sales, playtime, metacritic is a sign of quality. Resistance is worse than Halo in all of these three aspects. You can't deny it.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
