Vista 64 is fine (despite what mac ads tell you), and if you ever think you'll get more than 4GB RAM, it's required. Read up on it here:

Also, check the PC build in my sig :)  $489, runs Crysis on high @ 29fps

My only complaints about cyberpower / ibuypower is that they like to push you towards older mobo's (so upgrading is harder) and crappy power supplies.  But if you're careful you can get some good deals.

Ditto on the 64bit. I run it on all my computers and have only encountered one program that wouldn't play - Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 Prefered which turned out to be OK because running in 64 bit the free Windows voice recognition program was actually better anyway.

On CyberPowerPC, the super bargain preassembled boxes may not always be the el primo BUT if you go to their site and for a few bucks more build your own they offer the ability to select each and every item from the mother board and chip set up down to specific name brand and part number. Even Brands of memory can be specified. I don't know of anyone else that offers as much choice. In a comparison I matched a brand new Dell Graphic Work station that my office paid $3800 for down to individual SKU on every part and came out at just above $1800.
