As an extreme example, imagine you have 204 billion very smart monkeys, each of which can do one calculation per second. Can you run a game in real-time using these monkeys? No, because they can't even communicate with each other, let alone communicate with each other fast enough for the game to run in real-time. Yet, their peak gflops are the same as the PS3s.
