| jcp234 said: LOL So wait...Knowing a game is going to release over the cycle of a console is the same as it being a launch title now? And Gears of War was a new IP in development, not an established IP when the 360 launched. And since when do consoles try to compete directly with PC(s) and why would the next Xbox or any console need to be positioned as such? I for one am not a PC gamer and I am sure MANY console owners do not game on a PC....I am sorry, but with each and every post your logic becomes more and more flawed.... Each time I disprove one of your ill-prepared theories, you pull something new out of thin air. Like I have said before, if the execs over at Sony share the same illogical assumptions as you, it's no surprise Sony is in the position it is in. Go post a resume over at Sony...you may just get an exec position regardless of your qualifications. |
If you know it is going to be on a console, then it is a reason to purchase the console. And as being the biggest game that was supposed to be coming to the system, then it was for many people the biggest reason that they bought the system. Gears wasn't being hyped as a new IP in development in 2005. It was hyped as being Microsoft's next big thing. And guess what? It became Microsoft's next big thing, and the only title that Microsoft publishes other than Halo to have a Game Ranking over 9, and as such one of the only two system sellers they have.
You've never disproven one of my theories. Only time will be able to do that on this subject.
Heavens to Murgatoids.
