Perhaps, and I know this is a long shot, some genuinely had a difficult time deciding on one. Of course, there are a few select people who would do as you say, but there's no need to draw attention to them, or to yourself, by making this useless contribution.

I say this without any malice, I'm just simply trying to point out how petty this 'observation' really is.

???  If I was asked a question about my favorite game, book, move, or whatever the topic was.  Sure I could list a huge top 5, top 10 or whatever ever in an instant.  But how hard is it to take a minute to think about what is your favorite.

 

This is the internet (expecting internet is serious business pic) you don't have to post anything or you can take 10 minutes, heck even a year if you want to think about what you find your favorite game.  Its not like your rushed so why quickly respond 5 games.  When I think of my games I think of that game had best story, but game storys are COMPLETE shit compared to books so that point is moot.  So I think of which game I played the most and had the most FUN.  End of story. . 

Your favorite game is not 3 games.  Its not so hard to think "if I had to have played only 1 game, or if I could only play 1 game for the rest of the year what would it be"  Your the one that needs to think "what is with some people"  Not able to take a minute to genuienly think about something for a minute at most.

So you're honestly so bothered that people could not just make their mind up about what their single most favourite game was that you decided it was best to derail the thread?

Conversely, could you not have taken a minute and thought 'Is it worth it to derail a thread simply to make aware of such a petty and needless observation?'

If you truly are so bothered by this, why not jump on every similar thread. Look out! People are listing games when asked only for their favourite Zelda game in the 'Best Zelda game?' thread. When people are asked their favourite FF, many often respond with their preferences in order. Big deal, not really noteworthy.
