It can do native 1080p. It was locked, and then later was unlocked via a firmware update.

Yeah, GDDR3, motion controllers and WiFi are soooo last gen.
-wii fans already want a HDD, DVD/blu-ray/HD-DVD add-ons, plus lots of stuff the system was not made for.
