I personally believe that there are some individuals who have repeatedly committed crimes that are so awful that they have demonstrated that there is no place in society for them anymore. My problem with the death penalty is more based on practicality than anything else ... While you can be pretty sure that someone is guilty of a particular crime, there have been so many high profile wrongful convictions that I would never want to trust someone's life to the justice system.
