The wii's library isn't just pure innovation either. What are people hyped for right now? Mad World? The Conduit? Some JRPGS? No More Heroes 2? Little King's Story? Then there is the huge library of games like Mushroom Men, Smash Bros, Mario Kart and all those other unique titles. Most of what people brag about on the wii isn't innovative either.
Yes, the wii does get things like Trauma Center and cooking mama and Wii-fit, but don't act like it's shitting out one gold nugget of innovation after the other while the other machines are stuck in FPS town.
As for the article I agree with the Mcdonald's foodie analogy. Just playing one super marketed hollywood hit after another doesn't make one a connoisseur of gaming.
Also The Alphabet of manliness is awesome. I popped like six boners reading it and my boner slapped a baby and then it's mom was turned on which was sick because of the dead baby but I didn't even care, so we porked.
