| Jereel Hunter said: Maddox likes to talk, but he forgets that in the end, the consumers decide what games get made. He's mad at MS and Sony for focussing on shooters? Guess what, most of these games are 3rd party games. And if consumers bought the type of games he's talking about, 3rd parties would make them. Also, I have a gaming PC. But not all my friends do. But they all have 360s, making any game that comes on on PC and 360 at once a 360 purchase for me. Also, even games where the PC is the platform of choice for (i.e. Mass Effect is said to be much better on the PC) sometimes I prefer gaming on the couch in front of a big TV more than at a desk. Is the 360 a PC? In many ways, yes. But how is that a bad thing? it's a versatile system that allows DLing games and movies, and is truely an entertainment hub. And is brings this versatile entertainment hub to those who aren't PC users, and for a very small cost. But anyone who has been to Maddox site realizes that even when you agree with some of what he says, he's quick to hand out scathing denouncements that aren't always deserved. |
Games like Cooking Mama, and Trauma Center are on the Wii and sell. How can you say they wouldn't sell on the PS3 or 360 if they are never made?
And that's his point: MS and Sony don't even bother TRYING other things, because they know that they can just keep selling FPS and TPS games to the same customers over, and over.
Which also goes to his point about the supposed "hardcore"...
