The only line of that blag that I agree with is Sony has been slipping further and further behind its competitors.

Lets quickly review some of these statements.

"What was Sony's biggest release this year? "LittleBigPlanet."" Not even close to true, GTA4 was the biggest, it was meant to single handedly kill the Wii and allow the PS3 to dominate over the 360 (yes, people predicted that it would sell terribly on the 360 as its true home was Sony consoles) GTA4 is one of the least artsy games ever.

"It's the only one of the big three console makers that's investing its own money on downloadable "indie" games" Cmon, that's just too easy to rebut. If it has funding from Sony, by definition it is not indie.

""flow," the "PixelJunk" series, "Echochrome," and soon titles like "Flower" and "Fat Princess." "
2 released titles
2 unreleased titles
1 franchise

I counter with
World of Good
Lost Winds
Potpourri
Eternity's Child (not yet released)
Art Style Franchise

I'm sure the same could be done with xbox live arcade titles

"the heavily hyped virtual world that was actually used by just a small number of sex-minded Web obsessives."
Fixed. Home is not artistic at all.

"And looking forward, the best hope on Sony's horizon to really move consoles in 2009 is probably when "God of War III" is released." Where does this person do their research? GoW III is a 2010 title as of the latest reports from the developers, and I would hardly call GoW a work of art. Hella fun, yes. But not art.

"Even the console itself is smoother, prettier, quieter -- a superior work of art."
@ smoother perhaps
@ prettier that is subjective, but most people agree that the Wii is prettier, at least until the PS3slim releases
@ quiter that's not subjective, this person is just lying. The PS3 is considerably louder than the Wii

"The Cross Media Bar (XMB) is much cleaner and more Google-esque than Xbox Live, filled as it is with ads and other clutter, or the boring grid on the Wii menu."
Google-esque? In what way is it Google-esque?
Also, most people look at the Wii menu, and their first though it "Hey, I can see where everything is" not "boring"

In conclusion, the article is poorly written, was not researched at all, truths are ignored to fit this person's biases.

*stands and applauds*

I do agree that Sony lost track of what made the PS1 and more so the PS2 sales monsters. That's the audience that Nintendo is curving up right now. Also GT5 will be a bigger system seller than GoW3 by a mile!
