When I received my PS3, it had superior exclusives (IMO) - FFXIII, FFXIIIv, MGS4, other "promised" Japanese games (or I assumed), as well as all the great multiplat HD games. It plays Blu-ray in case I ever have use for it, and it was the only reliable HD system until... well, whenever 360 got its shit fixed.
Nowadays, the 360 is a no-brainer. I just picked up an arcade for $145... at its current price, I find it hard to believe any gamer could miss out, or purchase a PS3 in favor of it (unless they really only care for those Sony exclusives). The fact that it dominates America (meaning current or future friends/family here will likely have one) helps, a lot.
I regret buying PS3, it sucks!
... Yeah, I'm kidding of course! Still, I can probably manage without it now that I've played most of the games that have interested me. Since I'm not about to sell it though, I'll be using it to try some of the franchises I've never played/gotten into, in particular - GT, GoW, MGS, R&C. While I'm skeptical of the current lineup, it's possible the games will be far better than I expect (like Uncharted), and it'd suck to miss out. Also, I sorta gave my PS2 away, so...
