AFAIK, profit margin for hardware is quite low. But when there's an official pricecut on the way, retailers get to display a glowing "DISCOUNT" for a short time before the announcement.

Well, we'll see better if other retailers are going to follow suit. Then we'll know.

But 360 getting a bigger price cut than PS3 looks really weird.
