No, a non 360 owner wouldn't post it and hope more 360 owners would go unaware of this information and lose their accounts :P A 360 owner would post this trying to warn fellow gamers to be carefull.
I remember when I got bored of Halo 2 and stopped using xboxlive I cancelled the account, then a few months later when I wanted to re-activate my account I found that my xbox wouldn't connect to the internet at all, nothing would work. Support was no help, so I was like "screw it, just won't play xbox anymore". A few months later I get a bill for XboxLive gold. and I'm like "what the fuck is a gold subscription?" (I hadn't bought the new 360 xbox) well I won't tell you all the rest of the details but lets just say canceling that that new Gold account that I had been "bumped up to" was a bitch. Thank you useless support :) |
You do realize that you were basically a 'gold' member in order to play Halo 2 over Live. You have always had to pay to play over Live and they started calling it a 'gold' membership when the 360 launched. Seems wierd for them to start back billing you though. You probably used a 12 month card to start and account and then the 12 months ran up, at which point they started charging you.
