Are you suggesting it is less attractive developing games now the install base is double what it was 18 months ago? And far from losing the hearts and minds of most gamers... Id suggest that far more traditional gamers are actually resident in the hd arena than the wii arena. Thats a fact that is actually not even open to debate as there are more hd consoles installed and everyone accepts that the wii has cornered the new more casual gamers (aswell as traditonal gamers). |
I don't have to agree with Greenberg to see how what he says is nonsense.
And I didn't say that developers would stop developping HD games if Greenberg is wrong. I'm saying they are killing themselves already with their HD projects, and are going down left and right. If what Greenberg says is true, it would only be worse.
Anyway, I'll leave it at that (and wait to see if I'm right or wrong), as I can't discuss with anyone that actually believes that HD is a platform, like when you do a game for one HD console, it automagically works for the other or just need a LOL worthy 5% port cost (!!). This is complete nonsense to me, and you can't reach a sensible conclusion with nonsensical assumptions like those.
