I bought it when they were priced about the same ($350 vs $400). I have a few friends with PS3s, 360s and Wiis and they said that between the PS3 and the 360, they'd choose the 360 for gaming. They said games generally played better.
Of course, they both had many more games for the 360 and the PS3 and one of them got the PS3 specifically to play BDs.
There were also a few exclusives I really wanted for the 360 and none that I really wanted for the PS3. I sort of wanted Uncharted and Ratchet.
