The Playstation brand has a built in fanbase and still holds weight, even though some would say otherwise. See we are forgetting that Sony survived solely on the revenue from gaming for a long time, the last few years or so.
Corporate Sony, and as i said before its potential new owners if things get worse, will not sell their console dev. off except maybe some internal game developers.
