Fail is relative. With that in mind, I don't see Wii failing. I don't see it living up to the insane hype, but I do see it giving N64 a run for its money, which is definitely a success for Nintendo when taking into consideration how the Cube did. It won't win, obviously, but it doesn't need to. I don't think Nintendo's games are necessarily that much better or bigger than Sony's or Microsoft's. The problem is people buy Nintendo systems for Nintendo games and tend to ignore everything not from Nintendo. As I see it, the biggest problem for Nintendo is the hardware. It's already outdated. That's a problem when it comes to porting games. This will not prevent third party support, but it is another reason why developers may choose to develop less for it. I do also wonder just how long people will be interested in the controller, which is really the only thing the system has going for it other than Nintendo's games.
