So the Wii will fail because: - It hasn't got the game fl0w... So what? - Nintendo didn't give 3rd party developers dev-kits to implement online or Mii's when they wanted... They will eventually, if they haven't done it by now. - Nintendo is arrogant... If the Wii was to fail for this reason, then the PS3 would be a failure by now... Which it almost is, at least compared to the PS2. - Nintendo has the best games... I thought you bought consoles to play the best games. This should be a reason why it won't fail. - It's difficult for developers to compete with Nintendo software... Well, if they put more effort on their titles, then maybe they would sell more. And Sony and Microsoft are also first parties with really good games and big sellers. - No HD... OK, it's a good reason. But I don't see people adopting HD-TVs massively until TV channels are HD too. - The online doesn't look promising... That's your opinion, since it doesn't exist yet. Apart from the friend codes, I don't see why it doesn't sound promising. In my opinion the Wii could fail for these reasons: - No HD, as you said. - It looses 3rd party support because the crappy ports 3rd parties make for the system don't sell well. - No 3rd party makes good games for the system. - Another company enters the console race making a system more innovative than the Wii. - Either Microsoft or Sony copy the Wiimote technology and are succesful marketing it. - It might be a fad. People might loose interest on it in a couple of years.
