At this point, if you consider failure as not making profit or losing money, it's almost impossible for Nintendo to fail. If you consider failure not getting a majority of sales for the next five years, then possibly. There is almost no way the Wii will have either less profitability or less marketshare than the previous generation, so I don't see how that could be in any way interpreted as failure.
