I thought this would be the more common response. It certainly applies for me. Pretty much everything i buy, i buy day one, unless it conflicts with something i bought day one, or imminently planned on buying
For example, last year i bought No More Heroes, Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, FFTA2, Izuna 2, Wario Land: Shake It!, and Sonic Unleashed on day one. The two other games i bought, Okami and Sonic Chronicles, i did so later because they clashed. Okami came out too soon before Mario Kart Wii (and you need quite a bit of time to fully appreciate it), and Sonic Chronicles came out days after Wario Land. In the next six months, i plan on picking up Fire Emblem: SD, MadWorld, Wii Sports Resort, and The Conduit, and Punch-Out!! on day one, and to pick up Sonic and the Black Knight and Play on Wii Pikmin (both the same month as MadWorld) at later dates
