With Star Ocean 4, the developers said themselves, and directly, that it came down to having 360 dev kits well before PS3 dev kits - had they of gone with the PS3, they'd still be months if not years out from Star Ocean 4

And you really believe that? I wonder why other Japanese companies like Konami, Sega and Capcom have already released exclusives or there games simultainiously with the Xbox 360 version and Square-enix hasn't.

Infinite Undiscovery was financed by Microsoft and they own the IP, so this case is pretty clear. The Last Remnant wasn't even polished on the Xbox 360, and should have been a couple of months more in devolopement.

Square-enix did likely get money from Microsoft (who else?) to release the game during the holiday season in Japan, because they (microsoft) needed a "big" title for those days.

Not releasing Star Ocean: The Last Hope simultainiously or for the PS3, makes as much sense as not releasing Devil May Cry 4, Fifa 08 or Tomb Raider for the PS3. Yes, the game will likely come to the PS3, but everyone knows that timed-exclusivity kills a lot of the potential sales in the west, in Japan not so much.

Does anyone remember that during an half year or more Star Ocean IV was coming for the next-gen consoles, which means more than one?
