Not being a negative nanny, but I will believe this when I see the patch go live. It is something I wasn't expecting and would be a great addon feature. However, since the start I have read that the game wouldn't have coop and now to suddenly say oh, we were working on it but just couldn't get the balance right is way to fishy for me. It takes more than a little tinkering to get coop to work. And to the poster talking about Fable 2, the online feature was planned from the start so thats why it was patched so quickly.
