Yeah, Im using component lol. I have an HDMI cable sitting next to the wii...for good luck.

Resolution I can get around...its things like draw distance, character models, animations...

Try Super Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime 3.  I have a 360 and a Wii, and aside from my PC I think that Super Mario Galaxy is my best looking game.  I also think Metroid Prime 3 is as good looking as Halo 3 (which also isn't HD).  Metroid Prime 3 is better for the fact that the controls are far, far better and the framerate is also far, far better.

I played both and both are very good looking. Like I said, nintendo games are usually a cut above the rest...

Not too sure if I agree about the framerate of MP vs Halo 3 though. Halo 3's graphics aren't mindblowing by any means but it does 4 player split screen and the framerate is fixed at 30 fps...and it never dips. I don't know what MP3 frame rate is though...

Well, to start Metroid's framerate is always 60fps.

And to finish: I've played a lot of 8 player Halo 3 matches online (with only one player) and the framerate clearly drops into the 20s at times.  The main reason it is a problem is because it affects control even more than the viewed framerate.

It seems like your overall point, that there exist good looking Wii games but also bad looking ones is valid.  And it's a matter of taste which ones are good and which ones are bad.  I don't hold my Xbox 360 to the same standard as my PC because the Xbox 360 is so very weak in comparison.
