| papflesje said: It's not about questioning killzone You were given answers and you did not just reply to others or try to bring things to an end. You ignored the answers in the beginning that would've ended this thread and brought up other parts that you wanted to question about the game. Don't act as if you were trying to bring this to a close, since you still questioned whether Helghan would provide enough variation to warrant a visit. |
Oh I would say between page 3 and 4, the recycling began. Ok, let me say this again here:
IF the environment has sufficient variety, FROM A GAMEPLAY STANDPOINT, issues of variety should not be an issue. In the same way that Gears 2 got praise for varying the environment over the original, KZ2 shouldn't be knocked for it. HOWEVER, if the first few levels show represent the entire game, then the game will get knocked for not having a varied enough environment.
In regards to motivation, that would have to deal with the writers for the game fleshing out motivations sufficiently, so that players can plug into it, and get interested. It has to be far more than a fanboy rooting for the game to crush Halo and Gears, but be a good game on its own right. It is the key difference of the game providing sufficient motivation on its own for people to be interested that will generate sufficient sales.
As for whether or not I feel there is enough justification for invading Helghan, who cares if I do? I am just one person. What matters is if enough other people feel that way. (Plug in political justification for invading Iraq as an example here. Again, what does my thought matter on it?). This thread could be used as a reason to go into how great the story is, by the way, if people chose.
Well, unless there is some screwball answer that takes this thread in some unexpected manner, I should be done replying here, and will let you get the last word in.
