If you want an SRPG, get The Last Remnant. I am sure you can get it cheap. Tons of fun, I think....Almost done with the double-review with Louie, and we're both gonna score it around a 7.9.
Also, Culdcept Saga is a GREAT SRPG-esque game. Think Pokemon TCG meets Triple Threat from FFVIII meets Monopoly. Crazy, but an awesome game (and I got my copy dirt cheap a week after launch - $32.99).
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
