This list just goes to show what's so dreadfully wrong in the industry today. The fanboys scream for this or that, someone makes it, the fan boys and websites hype it like the second coming. Game comes out to great reviews and a week later everyone is bored of it and the bad mouthing begins.

Now some games (AC, SU) are rightfully here but MM9? Didn't they ask for old school difficult? GTAIV? Didn't they give that like an 11 score out of 10? Mirror's Edge? Didn't they beg for something new and innovative? Wasn't LBP the greatest game ever with unlimited replay value and savior of the PS3? Plus all those games got great reviews!!

Fanboys have gotten way too spoiled, way too picky and way too hard to please. Especially at the cost of today's games where one failure can sink a company (Factor 5, Free Radical). No wonder Nintendo stopped listening to them to great success.

This.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
