| dib8rman said: (clears throat) Soon very soon, Sony has been execising the 10 year plan, and all the analysts couldn't have been wrong, they predicted that the Wii bubble would pop and it will, while Sony's technology is built in a future proof way to prevent this. The tools of this future proof technology are of course Blu-Ray and The Cell processor, these two marvels of technology will laser a path strait into the next 8 years. When Wii 2 is coming out it too will use the Cell processor and so will Xbox 720 but by then they will be playing catch up with Sony's PS3 and their graphics will only barely be equal as developers will have a system that they are still learning but optimizing on. Microsoft is simply poping their bubble faster than needed, the Xbox has many redundant features to cover up it's massive flaws, where as the PS3 has none, when Kill Zone 2 is released the developers will have to come running to Sony; look at little big planet, and home, just watch L ittle Big Planets sales, it's comparable to Wii Sp o rts and probably se ll more. In fact LBP is tracking weekly at a higher rate than Wii Sports unbundled which is amazing considering Wii Sports is supposed to be a revolutionary tittle, I guess LBP is just a Little bit more revolutionary. Right now Sony is selling the PS3 at a loss in an economy that is nothing short of testing, and they are not just pulling through but triumphant, they managed to completely out do their past successes in 2007. Sega is churning out great titles like Valkyria Chronicles and Konami with Metal Gear Solid 4 both great games and only add to the PS3's library just two more reasons why Sony's Playstation Franchise is number 1. ~The End |
Now, I'm new to joke posts, but I did that right, right? Oh those Sony fans and their hidden meanings
For the sake of adding something to the thread, no, Sony will not dominate '09. Since 2006, the PS3 has always had the "best" lineup according to its fans, yet somehow, they just can't seem to do well relative to its competition. Sony had most of '08 going for it until the holiday season and the $199 arcade took the wind out of all the progress it had made.
Regardless of what does happen, anyone who's been watching this console war for any length of time has to look back at the PS3 and say "Man, it had so much potential! What happened?" After reading excuse after excuse, and the passing of each "AAA" game, one has to wonder if anything is gonna change.
Of course it is. Sony will get back on track eventually, but it won't be this year. They're too far buried in their own mess to see the light quite yet. It will start with a price cut, and then that light will get a lot brighter.
