Soon very soon, Sony has been execising the 10 year plan, and all the analysts couldn't have been wrong, they predicted that the Wii bubble would pop and it will, while Sony's technology is built in a future proof way to prevent this. The tools of this future proof technology are of course Blu-Ray and The Cell processor, these two marvels of technology will laser a path strait into the next 8 years. When Wii 2 is coming out it too will use the Cell processor and so will Xbox 720 but by then they will be playing catch up with Sony's PS3 and their graphics will only barely be equal as developers will have a system that they are still learning but optimizing on.
Microsoft is simply poping their bubble faster than needed, the Xbox has many redundant features to cover up it's massive flaws, where as the PS3 has none, when Kill Zone 2 is released the developers will have to come running to Sony; look at little big planet, and home, just watch Little Big Planets sales, it's comparable to Wii Sports and probably sell more. In fact LBP is tracking weekly at a higher rate than Wii Sports unbundled which is amazing considering Wii Sports is supposed to be a revolutionary tittle, I guess LBP is just a Little bit more revolutionary.
Right now Sony is selling the PS3 at a loss in an economy that is nothing short of testing, and they are not just pulling through but triumphant, they managed to completely out do their past successes in 2007.
Sega is churning out great titles like Valkyria Chronicles and Konami with Metal Gear Solid 4 both great games and only add to the PS3's library just two more reasons why Sony's Playstation Franchise is number 1.

why would nintendo use the cell? the ppc chip theirs is based on topped out at 1.5 ghz 4 years ago when it was removed form IBM main production line that chip still has lots of room to grow, next gen they could double or triple its power and keep power drain down.
MS also has no reason to use the cell and has stated that the next console will be forward compatible wich wold imply they are sticking to the same chip arch they are using now, whether they go more multi core, or higher frequency is up to them, though expect 4 times the ram (i expect sony to do the same).
you live in a fantasy land man... go grab some beer, relax ... sony is in a hurt but not doomed the ps3 most likely will be produced for ten years but whats to be seen is how many years will be along side the ps4.
2012 keep that year in mind, its the first year that MS&Sony can put a new unit out without major issues arising in the market, I believe nintendo will wait too, but they have more freedom to act as they want.
