1) The rumour was started by PS3 fanboys who think Sony can get back on top. Not likely at all until Christmas at least.
2) There are very few 'Nintendo-type' games on PS3. Most have a darker, serious tone. If you want to get into that kind of gaming, I'd recommend:
- GTA4
- Fallout 3
- COD 4
- Resistance 2
- Mirror's Edge
- Prince of Persia
- Ratchet and Clank Future
- MGS4 (you may not like this as it is very hard to understand without playing previous games. Worth playing though)
- Bioshock
- Orange Box (Bit laggy on PS3, but you CANNOT miss these games. Best gaming experience of my life)
- Dead Space
- Whatever sports games you enjoy
- Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD
- Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix
- Warhawk
- GT5 Prologue
- Crash Commando
