To be honest, many people felt that GTAIV was even worse than previous iterations (took out a lot of the fun like the attack helicopter, and replaced with a lot of boring crap like hanging out with "friends" and going out on dates).
VGChartz had it as our biggest disappointment of 2008, but certain people disagreed.
