yeah then gamecube was away better than the ps2, it had a better percentage of good games. what? so if the PSP had 10 games and 80% of them are good it would have 8 good games. while the NDS, having a bigger library, only had 50% of its 300 games be good the psp would be better??
it seems to me that the ds would still have much more "good games" even with a smaller percentage..
the percentage doesnt matter, its the number of games that do. The psp lacks this but its to be expected seeing how the DS is the marcket leader. More games (good and bad) will be brought to the sytem becasue they make money.

According to VGChartz
PSP has 774 games
NDS has 1792 games
and I think you will agree that the number of shovelware on NDS is pretty high
My point is that there are enough good games on the PSP for it to survive. This year a whole lot more software is going to be released than last year because after the introduction of PSP 2000 the sales for the hardware picked up. It has sold 43 Million units. The publishers realized that there was money to be made and started working on PSP games. It usually takes at least a year for new games to be created.
I agree currently, software support is a lacking but that is also because it is so much easier to make shovelware for DS which will sell. Some people cry piracy is the reason, no software is being made and I think that is stretching the truth. I am not saying that the situation is perfect, there are some issues but as far as a handheld console market is concerned, 30% at 43 million is NO JOKE.
