UUUHHHH thats a hard one.....
Super Mario Bros. 3.... Mario, much like me was born in 2D, I think Super Mario Bros. 3, was very importsant in shaping Marios future, the game had many great inovations, so did 64, but I think Mario in its core will always be the king of 2D jump and run. He did lots for 3D but 2D is where he rules supreme.
Who needs a revival more:
Earth Worm Jim OR Battle Toads ???
