You are right, I do see alot of parents that play games with there children because they grew up playing games. My parents watched my brother and I play, and they would try the easy games like Frogger or something but they never really got into it.
Sometime last year when I was still playing WOW, my guild was waiting for a raid to start. I just happened to notice that at that point, my whole family was gaming at the same time. I was on WOW, my oldest and youngest were playing Guitar Hero 3 together, my wife was playing Guild Wars on her pc, and the middle son was in his room playing Halo (i think). I typed in Guild chat "OMG at this time everyone in my family is playing a video game of some sort". "What a bunch of geeks we are". My guild thought that was pretty cool though. Good times.
