Ive heard some strange things about their history. Apparently noone discusses what happened at the end of WW2. Its just not talked about in history classes, maybe at university. Some deal with the indigenous minority Ainu?, no one talks about it. Maybe its got to do with what someone else said, the collectivist democracy ideal, you don't rock the boat or behave independantly because of the groups importance. On topic. No, i dk for sure but i think japanese today don't care, they don't seem to give a shit about their extremely conservative governments so why the 360? |
I've heard (and have no way of knowing - would love to know though) that some schools teach that Pearl Harbor was an elaborate trap set by the Americans to start a war.
