Ohhh...I get it. You mean stereoscopy. I want to say it's a silly gimmick, but in regards to movies, it's the only thing getting me to go see that Bloody Valentine movie when it comes out, so maybe there's something there.
Please don't use cats as examples again. Cats are the devil.
Edit: Actually the evil cat glasses would be anaglyph imaging.
