I love the story telling in the Halo Universe, but I think that Halo Wars is really a niche product. I would be excited if it sold 1 million, and think it was a run away success if it pushed 2 million (I really doubt it would). RTS junkies like myself will like the game, but unless they achieve some sort of formula that mimics Starcraft, it will be hard to pull 3-4 million sales. If it does, the game will be the benchmark for RTS on console, and perhaps bring in a new wave of gaming (like Halo did as a FPS on a console). The biggest think I want out of Halo Wars is the story. RTS games have some of the best cut scenes in all of gaming (and if they get some of the actors like they have in the Command and Conquer games, then there will be the bonus for eye candy as well).
