Does anyone really use the News and Weather Channels, though? Or the Voting and Mii Contests for that matter...
I haven't experinced XBL, but what I like about PSN is that it tells you when a friend logs on or off and you can then just press the Home button to see what they're playing and send messages all without ever leaving the game. So if you get a message in the middle of playing, you can just pause it and reply straight away.
Another thing that Wii is lacking is a proper trophy/achievement system.

Yes you can set it to sign in automatically or otherwise, and you can sign in and out at any time via the the Home button.
