I'm not completely sure what you mean...

And the comments didn't help either :P

Well, I'll give it a shot.

Yes - games have changed my personality.

I'm a pretty clever guy. That may sound braggish, but it's true (wow, that made it sound even worse!). I can, at least partially, thank video games for that.

There are two games that have changed me the most.

Well, first.

International SuperStar Soccer 1998.

This game made me learn to read, spell and pronounce English (I was 5... Not very good I guess). It also made me interested in math.

Sure - it's a soccer game, the reading isn't very advanced, but it was in English (I'm not English), and I couldn't read.

So, to be able to manouver myself, I asked my parents to help me learn to read, at least a bit. Naturally, they were really happy about this, and shortly after, I could read the menus and such, knowing what it said (and there's more on the menus than you think).

Then there was the "create a player" option. Now I needed to learn how to spell - so the characters could have a name. That was really fairly easy.

Then, you had to choose what attributes you would give each player. That needed some maths skills (it was just addition/subtraction, nothing major, but still pretty hard) and I really started to love maths.

The other game was Pokemon Blue/Red. I learned lots of English and maths from that game.

So when I started in school, I could count to 1 billion, could speak some minor English, read a bit of English, read decently in Norwegian (heck, I was better than some of my classmates were 4 years later..) and write in Norwegian.

Overall, I knew one hell of a lot more than the rest of my classmates. I was already a year or two ahead when I started.

This meant I really felt smart, which turned me into an information loving person.

Sure, one could say it is in my personality (or because of how I was raised) that I love those things, but I'm sure it wouldn't have been so greatly if those games hadn't made me start (then I wouldn't have been so clever when I started).

So up untill you're 12, games really have an influence on your personality.
