Well according to the NPD it sold 205,000 in October and 141,000 in November in the U.S. According to VGChartz, it sold over 600,000 in the U.S. during those two months. That's over double what the official NPD numbers said. That would account for 300,000 units of the 600,000 VGChartz has inflated the sales. Then they simply added a couple thousand here and there over time and now people can pretend it broke 2 million when it's barely broken 1.
