Sony Teases With High Quality 3-D PS3

I can't remember now, at one stage weren't they talking about getting this to work on a standard Hi-def tv?
From the article it's almost as if it's a new screen tech they're displaying, not a possible 3D function on the PS3.
I suppose more news later?
