To be honest, I don't really think Microsoft needs an answer to Little Big Planet. It's probably just a game or software they're making because they think they can make money off it.
I have no idea if the Kodu will turn out well, but if it does I'll probably get it, especially if there's a PC version. I have a Wal-Mart gift card to waste and I can wait half a decade if I need to.
