@naznatips: Obviously upscaled DVD (perhaps even non-upscaled) would beat UMD video. UMD only has 1.8 Gb and DVD 9 Gb capacity so UMD video is allways more compressed. Even better compression methods of UMD video is not enough to compensate that big difference. I don't think UMD could ever reach quality of properly upscaled DVD on big screen.
