Why am I not the WoW type? I really loved that game, and put 212 hours into it (I just checked. I messed up in my original post, in which I say 310 hours). It didn't feel like that much though, I almost only played with my friends, and I was normally in the same house as at least one of them. I was more of a lv 19 PvP guy though (I figure half the time I played was on him, and half on my main). I do understand that people get addicted to it though... One friend has now played it for over 3000 hours (he normally plays over 5 hours a day!). |
Yeah, edited my post, I misunderstood you. 310 hours is nothing, lol...
I mean, when I said a few weeks more than me... I meant, I have near 200 days (erm, maybe closer to 150). That's... yeah, 3000+ hours. The funny thing is, most of my friends that play have far more time, one managing 8000+ hrs. I was never exactly addicted, it's just... the social aspect really draws you in. I'll log on even if I don't feel like playing, just to talk to some people.
Also, much of it is no doubt afk time, and it doesn't help I played it a ton when WoW launched since I was a senior in HS (got to slack off). I'm mainly a pvp guy - was there when the 30/40 twinking began, moved to 29/39/49 twinks, then once Arenas came I settled on 70's (I actually made Gladiator... AFTER my account expired
).
I'll probably get into it again eventually, but consoles have me occupied enough, for now. I actually got into VGC sales / consoles after I quit WoW - it took care of pretty much all of my gaming needs, so I completely missed what happened this current gen (Wii/DS/PSP/PS3/X360).
Oh, I noticed this response was kind of pointless, I just felt like rambling on about WoW. On another note, I've noticed the WoW userbase just keeps growing. How the hell are they managing this? I would think everyone that would be interested in the game has have already tried it... apparently not?
