I have no clue why you're bringing up platforms and how good a lineup is, I'm just talking about how calling Braid a 2009 exclusive is wrong because you can get it for the 360 and PC.

'Exclusive' is a term that implies comparison, which in the case of videogaming is the direct comparison of titles with the other platforms. And a list that is defined for a timeframe further proves the point that a game can be listed as an exclusive where the only thing we need to assimiliate is the year it was brought up. Hence "2009 PC Exclusives".

Exclusive means you can't get it anywhere else.

All you need to do is answer me this: the day Braid is released for PC in 2009, will I be able to get it somewhere else other than the PC?

If that answer is no, then it would be an exclusive.

If that answer is yes, it is not an exclusive.

It's a *really* easy concept to grasp.

So tell me what's all this BS I see about "semi-exclusives" where PC games are included in exclusives threads of other platforms?

This being related to my other posts where a multiplatform game could make case when comparing line-ups. If you want to see which system had the better games in 2009, you would also have to list Mirror's Edge for PC or Red Alert 3 for X360, no? Because both games count, and shouldn't be dismissed just because it was already out on other systems (that line of thinking is one of the reasons why Bioshock, Quake Wars, etc... had terrible receptions on the last platforms they've been released in).

Whatever. You know what I'll do? I'll just remove the games. I understand your point, but I had listed them for 2 reasons:

1) As a backlash of those silly "semi-exclusives" that PS360 like to put in their threads.

2) That great games sell badly just because they've been out on other platforms before.

Sorry for wasting everyone's time. Going to watch Wall-E and Raging Bull on my PC while laying down on my bed.

Why would you take the games down?  Just don't call them exclusives because they aren't.  Telling people to get games like Braid and Mirror's Edge is a wonderful thing, they just aren't exclusives.  I don't care about what platform has the better quality, that's an entire other argument that I just don't care enough to get into, I'm just pointing out a wrong.
