shio, I really do want to know how you have games like Braid and Mirror's Edge in your list of PC EXCLUSIVE games.

2009 Exclusives.

That's themost retarded thing I have heard on VGC, and that's a GREAT achievement considering the sheer amount of brain-dead users the site has....

Is it? In the Xbox 360 Exclusives thread they even listed "timed exclusives"(that came in the same year) and PC/360 games as exclusives...

What is the point is making a list of game releases? Is it to inform other people, isn't it? There must be parameters defined for the list, or else one would have to just make a list of all PC games released. I chose to include only 2009 exclusives. Why? Because it is valid to compare with last year's PC releases, to compare with another platform's lineup in the same timeframe, etc...

Would you not count Braid right now as a valiant addition to Xbox 360's when in comparison with PS3 or PC? But Braid will still be multiplatform. If a platform only had multiplatform releases, would you not compare it's library vs Xpto console's library through the multiplatform games that Xpto's didn't have?

Really, what is the point in listing only exclusive games, if not for a comparison with other platforms? If one was only interested in listing PC games, it would simply list all games - multiplatform or not.

I said 2009 exclusives. Nothing more, nothing less.

Very simple question to answer and Braid is a great example!

Can I get Braid only for the 360 in 2008?  Yes.

Can I get Braid only for the PC in 2009 when it's released on the PC?  No, I can get it for the 360 and PC.

Is it exclusive then?  No, even though it's released only for the PC in 2009 I can still buy it for the 360.

Therefore, not a 2009 exclusive.

And why the hell is thread stickied?

How do we measure and compare the quality of anything in a given period? It's by focusing the attention in that timeframe and make a direct comparison. If Platform1 had 100 good multiplatform releases in 2008, and Platform2 had 10 good exclusives and 50 good multiplatforms, how would you see which had the better year?

You'd have to remove the multiplats out on both systems that came in 2008 - Platform1 had then 50 games (all multis) and Platform2 had 10 games. Which would've had the better year then?

I have no clue why you're bringing up platforms and how good a lineup is, I'm just talking about how calling Braid a 2009 exclusive is wrong because you can get it for the 360 and PC.
