my prediction is such because it'll be frontloaded due to internet hype. after all the fans have bought it, i doubt it'll last long in the market due to the ton of shooters already out there.

Name a single game that has been extremely frontloaded due to internet hype?  The only ones I can think of are really bad games like Haze.  Games that had no legs to stand on because word of mouth was absolutely horrible.

Games like Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, Halo, and LittleBigPlanet had extremely long legs because their quality warranted it.  First week sales were high enough to get the word out about the games, and the games continued to sell for a LONG time.

And the shooter genre isn't overloaded.  The reason there are so many shooters is because so many people buy the damn things.  It may be up to marketing to differentiate the the top of the heap from the rest initially, but after that it's up to word of mouth.

And luckily Killzone 2 is recieving a large helping of marketing.  I work at GameStop, and we already have flyers hanging from the ceiling of our store with a giant Helghast and a blurb about the pre-order demo, as well as a wall of display cases behind the counter.
