Once upon a time I was dumped. Up until that point I thought I could handle it, we could still be friends and he didn't mean too much to me. Then all of the sudden I was a damn mess. OOPS. I think that was a problem. I made mistakes that I couldn't fix and it didn't sit well with me. I have issues actually expressing my... feelings/affection. Which is why he dumped me. Its so lame, thats usually how a guy messes up, not a chick. So really, a lot of my distress was over how easily I could have avoided it.

You'd be surprised, I've dated a lot and most people don't express themselves well.  In my experience women tend to hold back and wait for the guy to say something for positive things and, for negative things, they hold it in too long and when they finally say something it's blown out of proportion by both people.  Men usually have more of a problem talking about internal stuff, like their deeper feelings about everything (which for some reason, women love to hear men talk about).

Notice I say usually because there are always exceptions and nuances to peoples behavior, that's what makes us different from one another.  I tend to be too relaxed, I usually have to force myself to get upset... if I don't then the girls think I don't care...

Moral of the story, we're all crazy and relationships have bad parts and good parts.

Edit: rereading that I sound bi, I am not, I only dated women.  My experience of men's feelings is what women and male friends tell me.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
