Using a wireless g router and network card, current signal strength, low (i'm on the other side of the house from the router.), speed 24Mbps
I agree that hardwired will keep you closer to your ISP's maximum speed that you are paying for, but by no means should wireless impede your online gaming, as no game requires that maximum speed (whatever it may be) to run online.
