Yes, it's been like this for quite some time, i'm thinking about making a wired connection but i don't want another wire in my room >.<. Soon as i get this problem again, i'll reset my router, do the IP thing and see how it goes...

And disabling the media server didn't worked

Sorry for the rude thread title, i was really angry at the time lol

Eww. A wireless connection. Yea it could be the router that you are using. You may need to do some research for the wireless router you are using. I know Apple Airport and few other wireless routers don't play nice with Sony products. I would look online and definately see if there are any firmware updates for you router.

As network professional in the industry, we have a few year to go before wireless connections become acceptable in my book for online gaming. It great for surfing and light media and file transfers but do to the signal strength, bandwidth limatation, and encryption requirements, not the best choice for online gaming.

Weird, I game all the time on wireless, and I never have problems... maybe you were still using wireless b?

All I got to say is, do a ping test with a wired connection and wireless connection in household (even use a class "N' router/wireless card), and see what kind of latency you get back.  Nothing beats a correctly wired connection vs a wireless.  Its just too much noise and crap that goes on in the air when dealing with wireless connection for optimal performance.

I'm just saying...
